The CIEL Bretagne offers different types of accommodation which allows you to choose the kind of accommodation which best suits your personality and meets your expectations.

For a friendly, homely atmosphere then choose a host family !

Living with a host family will allow you to discover French culture first-hand in a warm, friendly atmosphere and to practice your French outside the classroom. 
The advantage of this type of accommodation is that you are totally immersed in the language and so your French will improve rapidly.  Our network is composed of more than 150 carefully selected host families. Within the network are several types of family: couples, people living alone, families with children, retired people, working people, in the town or in the country etc.  We know these families very well and can place you in the family which best suits you, your expectations and your needs.  To enable us to do this, it is important for us to know you, so please let us know your hobbies, special needs (diet, allergies etc.) and any other information that you consider useful!

For small budgets, there is accommodation in the University residences

The university residence accommodation  is both cheap and practical and you can meet students from many different horizons. This will enable you to dicover not only French culture but also other countries.
Accommodation in the university residences in Brest is available from March – August  In a “studenty” type atmosphere, you have a room of 9m² with a fridge, and en-suite shower and toilet. There is a shared kitchen on each floor.
As an indication, 75% of our clients choose a host family, 23% university residences and 2% opt for another type of accommodation.
